Position Title: Toy Library Coordinator
Application Close: 6pm Wednesday 17th March 2010
Hours of work: Thur & Fri 2pm -5pm
Saturday 9.30am-12.30pm
Start:Thursday 25th March 2010
Location of Toy Library : Moree East Primary School
Position Description
To provide families and early childhood services within the Moree Plains Shire with a wide range of developmental toys and equipment that is appropriate for children aged 0-5 years and to ensure that it is affordable to all socio-economic levels within the community.
Including:
Promotion of service to relevant agencies and target groups.
Comply with any legislative requirements.
Regular cleaning and stock take
Plan and participate in staff activities and the ongoing planning of services.
Selection Criteria
Essential
A strong commitment to working with families, youth and children;
Ability to work in a team
Strong communication skills.
Organisational skills
Desirable
Experience in working with the children and/or people with disabilities;
Holder of a current First Aid Certificate (willing to obtain one)
Understanding of child development.
